Ariella Wagonfeld, an associate of Allen, Hansen, & Maybrown, earned her law degree from Seattle University in 2002, graduating cum laude.  Ms. Wagonfeld was the recipient of several scholarships recognizing academic achievement while a student at Seattle University.  Prior to attending law school, Ms. Wagonfeld obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Art History at the University of Washington and traveled globally as part of her education.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Wagonfeld spent four years working at Northwest Defenders’ Association, a public defense firm providing representation to indigent individuals.  As a staff attorney, Ms. Wagonfeld represented individuals in proceedings through all stages of litigation, including trial.  While a public defender, Ms. Wagonfeld rotated through multiple courts, representing individuals charged with misdemeanors, felonies, juvenile offenses, and contempt of court actions.

While representing persons in contempt of court proceedings, Ms. Wagonfeld recognized the injustice of suspending a person’s driver’s license as a coercive action to compel payment of support.  Ms. Wagonfeld drafted a statute changing the law and lobbied the legislature for implementation of a system recognizing the paramount importance of a driver’s license in finding and retaining employment.  Ms. Wagonfeld’s actions earned recognition and interest from national groups providing support to individuals battling poverty.

As an associate at Allen, Hansen & Maybrown, Ms. Wagonfeld works with all three partners and also represents her own clients.  Her practice includes representing individuals charged with misdemeanors, felonies, and juvenile offenses.  Ms. Wagonfeld also represents individuals interested in reinstating their rights following conviction and purging criminal records.
